All OutDry materials and processes are fully tested and guaranteed. OutDry technicians collaborate directly with world-class gloves manufacturers for setting up production process and verify that waterproofness and comfort requirements and standards are constantly met.

Quality check are made directly on production line and sample glove production is regularly tested at OutDry laboratories, with specific and advanced technical equipments, in order to control the finished products have the appropriate quality requirements:


Air Pressure Test

This quick test method works by the introduction of compressed air inside the gloves. A system able to detect air flow verify there are no leaking through the membrane. In this way, glove’s watertightness can be easily tested directly on the production line.

Flex Test

The standard of this system is defined by the European norm about firefighters glove’s performance. It simulates the continuous use of the glove immersed in water. In addition, OutDry specification requires the glove’s weight at the end of the test should not increase more than 10%.


OutDry system insures that the construction materials meet the highest quality standards of water vapor permeability, as set by the SATRA TM47 testing method. This test is conducted at an inside footwear temperature of 32°C (standard temperature for maximum comfort) and simulates better than any other the actual conditions of hand breathability during a sport activity.


Is measured by means of a wearing test within a climate controlled environment under various conditions. However, OutDry considers field testing as the best method of evaluation. OutDry organizes ongoing testing activities with professionals in various sporting disciplines, where truly waterproofness and maximum comfort are essential: skiing, mountaineering, motorcycling, hunting, and more.
